Marc Riboud

Marc Riboud was given his first camera as a 13 year old boy in 1936.  16 years later, after serving in the French Resistance, he travelled to Paris to meet Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa, the founders of Magnum Photos.  His ability to capture fleeting moments in life through powerful compositions was already apparent, and this skill was to serve him well for decades to come.

He has twice won the Overseas Press Club Award.  His work is held in permanent collections in New York MOMA & Metropolitan Museum, Musee D'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and Musee de Mexico.
